The Netherlands has an exceptionally efficient and integrated public transport system, dominated by trains operated by NS (Nederlandse Spoorwegen). Renting a car is generally not recommended for travel within the Randstad due to congestion and parking challenges, but can be useful for exploring more rural areas.
