🇯🇵Brazil passport → Japan

Since 30 September 2023, Brazilian holders of an ordinary IC (chip) passport meeting ICAO standards can visit Japan without a visa for up to 90 days; Brazilians without such a passport still need a visa (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan). The arrangement started with an initial three-year term; Brazilian press reports that an exchange of notes published on 29 July 2026 extends it to 29 September 2029 — confirm with the Embassy of Japan in Brazil before travel.

🇹🇭Brazil passport → Thailand

Brazil has a bilateral agreement with Thailand for visa-free stays of up to 90 days. For the rules in force from 15 September 2026, the Tourism Authority of Thailand says bilateral arrangements continue to apply; re-check with the Royal Thai Embassy in Brasília before travel.

Brazil is on Turkey's visa-free list (90 days in any 180) under the 1957 bilateral agreement, periodically renewed. Brazilians never required the Turkish e-Visa even when it was mandated for most Western passports pre-2023.

🇸🇬Brazil passport → Singapore

Brazil is NOT on Vietnam's 13-nation unilateral visa-exemption list (which covers France, Germany, UK, Italy, Spain, Japan, South Korea, Nordic states, Belarus, Russia). Brazilians must use Vietnam's e-Visa — universalized to all nationalities in August 2023, 90-day single or multiple entry.

🇲🇽Brazil passport → Mexico
Last checked 2026-07-14Brazilian passport holders need an eVisa to enter Mexico; the permitted stay is up to 180 days.
Mexico requires a visa from Brazilian citizens. Since 5 February 2026, Brazilians flying in can apply online for an electronic visa — single entry, by air only (Mexico's Foreign Ministry, press release 021/2026). It does not replace the consular visa, which is still needed for land or sea arrivals. Brazilians holding a valid visa or permanent residence from the US, UK, Canada, Japan or a Schengen country are exempt. Maximum stay 180 days; no paid work allowed. Correction 2026-07-14: an earlier version of this page described Brazil→Mexico as visa-free.

🇰🇷Brazil passport → South Korea
Last checked 2026-07-27Brazilian passport holders need an ETA (electronic travel authorization) to enter South Korea; the permitted stay is up to 90 days.
The Brazil-Korea visa exemption agreement allows Brazilians up to 90 days of tourism without a visa, but a K-ETA must be approved BEFORE boarding. Brazil is not covered by the temporary K-ETA waiver that runs to 31 December 2026 — that applies to a list of other countries — so unlike US or EU travellers, Brazilians still have to apply. Do it at least 72 hours ahead on the official k-eta.go.kr; approval lasts 3 years. Correction 2026-07-27: an earlier version described the requirement as 'reinstated in January 2026', which wrongly implied Brazil had been exempt during 2023-2025.
